FAQ

Q: What is STI?

A: Sledge n´ Towelie Invitationals. STI was founded by Tim and Martin aka Sledge and Towelie. We are currently the only staffmembers and sort everything out ourselves. STI was founded by amateurs for amateurs and focus is directed at the fun and exciting gameplay in StarCraft2 Multiplayer.
Non profit, completley fanbased dedication is we are going for to create the best experience around!

Q: Is this an MMO?

A: If you dont't know that... stick to Hello Kitty Island Adventure!

Q: Is STI a SC2 clan?

A: No. We are a community for SC2 players. What we do is simply organize events and bring players together.

Q: How did STI get started?

A: Basically we just decided that we wanted to host a little SC2 event for ourselves and any other interested participants we could find. The concept quickly evolved from what was at first just a small event planned for a small amount of players into a prosperous SC2 gaming community for likeminded players.
Since the launch of STI in August 2010 we have hosted 2 major events and attracted a lot of SC2 gamers from all over Europe. After our second tournament we put the community on hold untill we could release v2.0, the second coming of STI-StarCraft.

Q: What's the difference between STI v1.0 and 2.0?

A: Apart from the visual improvements we've added features that makes the whole process of participating in tournaments a whole lot easier. In v1.0 you had to fill out an email form with your SC2 information to sign up for a tournament. The information was later manually inserted on the site.
In v2.0 we have added a member function. You can register as a member on the site and your account information will then be stored on our server database to be used everytime you want to sign up for tournaments or taking part in the STI community.
Below is a screenshot of v1.0 that let's you see the visual differnece.

Q: How does STI differ from other E-Sport Organisations?

A: We focus on the fun and casual playstyle that most of the players enjoy with the added touch of some 1st place prizes.

Q: What are the system requirements to participate?

A: There are no specific system requirements, but if you can't handle SC2 on lowest settnings without any lag then maybe you should consider upgrading first.

Q: How do I join the STI community?

A: Press the register button at the top of this page and register as a member here on the site. You need to be a member in order to sign up for our events.
We also have a forum, a YouTube channel and Facebook page for all our fans! Join and build up our amateur community to ensure that we can continue to produce casual amateur tournaments!

Q: What benefits do I get in joining the community?

A: Community members that show intrerest in our organisation are always prioritized when we select the participants for our tournaments. Good behaviour and a nice attitude are considered as important aspects.
